Welcome to Mask UK. We are so grateful you have decided to join the Mental Health Fitness community. You will be able to extend your toolkit of skills to manage, protect and improve your mental health.

Whether you are joining us for the first time, or have been a supporter of ours for awhile, the ideas and tools you will learn in this website are designed to guide you on an exciting and challenging journey of self-descovery and personal growth.

Now more than ever, the world needs common scense, evidence based tools that can help us cope more effectively with lifes adversities and misadventures.

Just practical, preventative, and eay to understand concepts that you can apply systematically and model for those you care about.

The challenges faced by so many since COVID-19 have illustrated why it's essential to learn about mental health and mental ill-health before we reach crisis point.

Too often, we react to our mental health only when something goes wrong, rather than protecting and improving it proactively by building our resistance.

To get different results, we need a different approach.

At Mask UK, our big idea is mental fitness - the 'how-to' for protecting and improving your mental health.

More than a collection of random tips or 'life-hacks,' Mental Fitness is a comprehensive 'mindset, process and set of strategies for protecting, maintaining and developing good mental health.'

Our goal is to educate and encourage you to re-image your perspective on mental health and what you can do to protect and improve it, beyond the four walls of the therapy room.

Good mental health doesn't just happen. It needs to be cultivated. The good news is that mental health can be improved over timewith the right strategies, the right support, and the right mindset.

We want to change the meaning of mental health.

We want to inspire people to think of their mental health just like physical health, and to take care of it in the same way, no matter their previous experience with illness, therapy or personal change.

As Mask UK agenda, we give you a common language - Mental Fitness - through which you can create that underpin rather than undermine your wellbeing.

As a result, you can stay strong and motivated, no matter what life throws at you.

Throughout this website we give you flexible suggestions for how to apply the different skills we introduce to you so you can figure out what fits best with your lifestyle, goals and past experiences.

By engaging with your mental health in a new way through mental fitness, you will become more easy going and flexable, and be able to deal and accept traumours, aswell as helping others, like your children and friends.

One thing we don't do here in the UK and teach about Mental Health that much in schools.

Your children will become more effective at dealing with life as it unfolds, and learn to face the future with confidence and hope, instead of fear and self doubt.

As you work your way through the website, you will learn how to turn situations of stress, anxiety and sadness into oppertunities for growth, meaning and contribution.
